Method.
As you'll see from some of the examples illustrated there is no formula or bias in our response to a site and the demands of its developer or occupier.
We listen to the clues thrown out by our clients, interpret these and measure them against the constraints of the site.
Hopefully, to achieve a balanced and attractive environment that more than pays for the fee we charge.
We believe it is critical to do all your thinking before starting on site. Backed up with a complete set of construction documents, risk is much reduced.
Process.
Concept design - examine design options, often in 3D
Scheme design - detailed proposals that get to grips with dimensions and practicalities
Detailed Design - 'cross party' working to establish structural, services, drainage solutions, rights of light, materials/colours, etc.
Production - details , more details, specification and decisions about fixtures fittings and some hard cost decisions
Construction - this is where the fun begins, form of building contract and supervision of the build process to maintain design vision, programme and quality of the work to a successful conclusion.
